DIVE SITE EXCURSIONS
Our dive site excursions are suitable for everyone from beginners to experienced divers. Sun Island Resort & Spa is the closest resort to the most popular whale shark point in the Maldives. Plus, we’re in easy reach of a number of other dive sites where you can encounter everything from colourful corals to white tip sharks.
DIVING COURSES
Our DiveOceanus dive center offers a range of diving courses. The dive school is run by multilingual, highly qualified staff who will prepare you for your underwater adventure and offer hands on coaching that is tailored to your level of experience. They even offer kids diving courses for younger guests.
SNORKELLING
Snorkelling is a great way to explore the shallow turquoise waters that surround the island. All equipment, including masks and flippers, is provided. Keep an eye out for tropical fish, colorful corals, and majestic manta rays.
STAND UP PADDLEBOARDING
Stand up paddleboarding takes place in the calm lagoons and is suitable for all ages and abilities. You’ll spend a few peaceful hours spotting tropical sea life while working on your core strength and fitness.

KITESURFING
Kitesurfing is perfect for thrill seekers. Using just the power of the wind, you’ll be propelled across the crystal clear waters at high speed while soaking up the stunning scenery that surrounds you.
DINGHY SAILING
These small, wind-powered boats are ideal for exploring the warm turquoise waters. Our instructors will teach you the basics of sailing before you embark on a fun-filled adventure on the ocean waves.
CATAMARAN SAILING
With more room to relax, our catamaran sailboats are perfect for venturing further out to sea. You can unwind on the spacious decks, travel at higher speeds, and anchor in shallow lagoons or near the shoreline.
TRIMARAN SAILING
Trimarans are faster and more comfortable than any other sailboats and will enable you to explore the Indian Ocean in luxury. Between the main hull and two side floaters is a net for you to lay back and relax on.
JETBLADE
With a water-propelled jet pack, you will be able to go as high as 10 meters in the air and perform graceful turns. No experience is necessary – all you need is good balance and a sense of adventure.
JETSURF
With the help of a motorized surf board, you can explore the ocean at high speed and even perform jumps in the water. The boards are easy to control and manoeuvre, and no experience is necessary.
SEABOB
These underwater scooters are perfect for exploring the underwater world that surrounds the island. Swim through colorful reefs, get up close to a range of fish, and keep an eye out for manta rays.
FUN TUBE
This high speed water sport is just the thing for families and thrill seekers. Simply hold on tight as the boat pulls your inflatable tube through the turquoise waters in the bay. Expect big splashes and lots of fun.
WATER SKI
This exhilarating, high speed water sport provides a great workout for the entire body. Our instructors will ensure you are challenged, whatever your ability. Plus, it’s a great way to see more of the beautiful bay.
WAKEBOARDING
Wakeboarding is suitable for all abilities and is great for thrill seekers. As our speed boat pulls you around the bay at high speed, your board will be lifted into the air and you’ll be able to perform a range of tricks.
KNEEBOARDING
Similarly to wakeboarding, you’ll be towed around the water by a motorboat. It requires less balance than wakeboarding, so is more suited to beginners, but is still an exciting way to explore the azure Maldivian waters.
PARASAILING
Parasailing has become one of our most popular water sports. It combines the thrills of acceleration and altitude with stunning views of the atolls. Sit back, relax and enjoy your flight – no training required.
